As we announced at our May luncheon meeting, Darlene Rufra has retired from Secura Insurance Company as of May 30, 2014. On May 15, Secura held a retirement party in her honor at Audubon County Club. It was attended by Senior management of Secura, and a large number of local agents, friends, family and other well-wishers. As President of the Kentucky Chapter I was in attendance as well. To honor Darlene, the CEO of Secura, John Bykowski, awarded $1,000 to the Kentucky Chapter to be given as a scholarship in Darlene's name.
This was quite an honor for Darlene and demonstrates that even in the home office of Secura in Appleton Wisconsin they know of Darlene's commitment to the Kentucky Chapter of CPCU. We are privileged to have her as a member and I am happy to advise that Darlene plans to stay active in the chapter.
