But there is more on the day’s agenda. We were all disappointed that we had to cancel our January luncheon due to the bad weather. However, we are pleased to announce that John Long, CEO of the United States Equestrian Federation has graciously agreed to speak at our luncheon. He is also Chairman of the Board for the World Equestrian Games scheduled for Kentucky from September 25 – October 10, 2010. This is a major international event with over 60 participating nations, an anticipated attendance of 500,000 and economic impact of over $150 million. This is the first time the event will be held in the USA and the CPCU chapter is proud to have him as our speaker. He will share with us some of the inside information on bringing the event here and the preparations that are taking place.
